Terms & Conditions

Please carefully read these terms and conditions of contract. In completing and submitting the Booking Form, you agree to be bound by these conditions which constitute the agreement between the Dao Canyoneering (DC) and you. No variation of these conditions will be effective unless in writing and signed by a person so authorized by Dao Canyoneering.

Reservation and Payment

To confirm your reservation, DC requires full payment at the time of booking. Bookings are not confirmed until DC receives full payment. Payment can be made either by direct deposit, credit card (Master-card, Visa or AMEX) via Paypal.

Waiver

Participants will need to sign a waiver and release prior to the canyoneering acknowledging awareness that some known risks are associated with the trip.

Cancellation by you

Reservations are refundable with a call to our office at least 3 days (72 hours) before the tour is scheduled to start or within 24 hours of purchase, and are subject to a 3% non-refundable credit card processing fee. Any cancellations under three days to trip time will result in forfeit of trip cost. Trips booked under three days in advance are not eligible for refunds. Failure to show for your activity will result in loss of tour cost. Late arrival for your tour will result in 100% forfeiture of tour cost paid.

You can reschedule the date or time of your tour (or add or remove guests) within 24 hours of booking, and up to 72 hours before the tour is scheduled to start.

Cancellation by us

We may cancel any tour at any time up to 30 days prior to departure if:

a)The number of participants booked does not meet the minimum requirement to operate the trip.

b)Due to terrorism, natural disasters, political instability or other external events it is not viable for us to operate the planned itinerary.

Should that occur, and we are unable to transfer you to another trip to your satisfaction, your payment will be refunded in full. We are not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your booking including, but not limited to, visas, travel insurance excess or nonrefundable flights.

Poor weather policy

DC activities will operate in all but weather conditions that we deem unsafe. Rain, wind, cold and fog do not prevent us conducting our tours. Unless you hear from us, assume your tour is going ahead. DC will inform you if cancelling your scheduled tour is necessary. Participants that decide not to attend/participate based on weather (against our policy and/or advice) will forfeit the full tour cost. Where poor weather causes cancellation of a tour, DC may offer you the nearest possible alternative tour, if this is not possible then the participant will receive a 100% refund.

Limitation of Liability

DA will not be liable for any additional expenses relating to your tour, including but not limited to cancellations, missing connecting transport, extra accommodation. All additional expenses incurred remain the sole responsibility of the participant.

Insurance

The participants are not insured by us the organizer. Participants need to have their own insurance.

Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge and agree that by the very nature of the activities that you are participating in, they are more challenging and demanding with a commensurately higher risk compared with activities in urban environments and involve potential exposure to injury and possible death. The potential dangers and risks associated with these activities may include difficult and dangerous terrain, physical exertion for longer periods, extremes of weather including sudden and unexpected changes and evacuation difficulties in the event of injury.

Minimum Numbers
