These terms apply when you book or take part in a tour with Dao Falls Canyoneering ("we", "us"). By sending a booking request and paying for a tour, you agree to them on behalf of yourself and everyone in your group. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.
1. Booking and payment
- Tours run daily at 8:30 AM and 1:00 PM, weather permitting. Each tour needs at least 2 and takes at most 10 guests.
- The price is ₱3,500 per person, including guides, all technical equipment, motorbike transfer from base to the drop-off point for the jungle hike, drinks, coconut and snacks, and all local LGU fees.
- Full payment is required to confirm your booking. Your booking is confirmed only when we have received payment and sent you a confirmation by email.
- You can pay in cash at our office, or online by PayPal (Visa, Mastercard and other cards PayPal accepts).
- We issue an official receipt for every payment.
2. Changes and cancellations by you
- You can change the date, time or number of guests free of charge up to 72 hours before your tour, subject to availability.
- You get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of booking, or at least 72 hours before your tour starts.
- If you paid by card through PayPal, the card processing fee of 3% is not refundable.
- Cancellations less than 72 hours before the tour, no-shows and late arrivals that miss the tour are not refunded.
- To cancel or change a booking, email us and wait for our confirmation by reply.
3. Cancellations by us and weather
- Heavy rain on the day or the day before can cause strong water flow and flash floods. Our guides make the final decision on whether it is safe to run a tour.
- If we cancel because of weather, unsafe conditions, too few guests or events outside our control, you can choose a new date or a 100% refund.
- We are not responsible for other costs you have paid, such as transport, accommodation or flights, so we recommend travel insurance.
4. Who can take part
- The minimum age is 16. Guests aged 16 and 17 need written consent from a parent or legal guardian, who also signs the waiver.
- You must be in good physical health, comfortable with heights and able to fit a climbing harness: waist 53–120 cm (20–47 in) and legs 35–75 cm (14–29 in).
- You must tell us about any medical condition that could affect your safety. People with conditions that may need immediate medical attention, such as significant heart problems or seizure disorders, should not take part.
- Bring any fast-acting medication you rely on, such as an EpiPen, glucose or an inhaler, and tell your guide.
- Anyone under the influence of alcohol, drugs or impairing medication will not be allowed to take part, and will not be refunded.
5. Safety, waiver and following instructions
- Canyoneering involves real risks, including slips, falls, drowning, falling rocks, sudden changes in water level, and difficult rescue in remote terrain. These can cause serious injury or death.
- Everyone must sign our Assumption of Risk, Release of Liability & Indemnification Agreement before the tour, and must follow the guides' instructions at all times.
- Guides may stop the tour, change the route or remove a guest for safety. Guests may also be removed, without refund, for behaviour that puts others at risk, such as ignoring instructions, intoxication, violence, threats, harassment, discrimination, theft or damage to property.
6. Insurance and liability
- We do not provide personal travel or accident insurance. We strongly recommend you have your own insurance that covers adventure activities.
- We are not responsible for loss of or damage to personal belongings, including cameras and phones, during the tour.
- Nothing in these terms or in the waiver limits our responsibility where Philippine law does not allow it to be limited, including liability arising from our fraud or gross negligence.
7. Photos and video
Our guides may take photos and video during the tour and share them with you. We post photos on our Facebook page or website only if you agree. Tell your guide on the day if you don't want to appear in any shared photos, and email us at any time to ask for a photo to be removed.
8. Complaints
If something went wrong, please tell us first by email at [email protected]. We reply within 7 days and try to resolve complaints within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Consumer Care Hotline at 1-DTI (1-384) or through dti.gov.ph.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, including the Consumer Act (RA 7394), the Internet Transactions Act of 2023 (RA 11967) and the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173). Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the proper courts of Cebu, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to you is the one published on the date you booked.
